Yard debris cleared by Klutter Krewe

FAQs

The questions we get asked most, answered plainly. If yours is not here, call and ask.

Before the Crew Arrives

No. Plenty of people sort as we go, and that is usually faster than trying to do it alone the night before. If you would rather have everything decided in advance, that works too. Tell us which way you want to run it when you book.

No. Plenty of landlords and out-of-town family let us in and check the photos afterwards. If you would rather walk it with us, that works too. Tell us which when you book.

No. We’ll remove it from wherever it sits. However, discounted curbside pickup may be available when items are placed outside and ready to load before we arrive.

Often we can. Washers, dryers, dishwashers and many other appliances are no trouble for us to unhook. If you are elderly, or simply cannot manage it yourself, say so when you book and we will do what we can to help. Tell us what is involved up front so we arrive with the right tools.

Usually yes, at least to get us through the gate and open the unit. Once we are in, you can stay and sort or leave us to it.

What We Take, and How the Job Runs

Both. Some jobs are a full house down to bare floors, others are one bedroom and a shed. Some are a full garage clear-out, others are three specific things that are too heavy to move alone. All of them are worth calling about.

Yes. Say what it is and where it sits and we will tell you straight away whether we can help. A handful of items in one trip is usually a better deal than several separate stops.

Mattresses are one of the most common single items we are called for, precisely because curbside collection generally will not take them.

Storm debris is a large part of what we haul around here. Send photos and we will tell you what is involved.

Torn-out fencing, old decking, and similar project debris are common jobs. Tell us roughly how much and how long the pieces are.

Absolutely. Oversized, heavy and awkward items are routine for us. Send a few photos of the item and the path out so we arrive with the right crew and equipment. Additional labor or equipment charges may apply depending on the job.

Yes. We can remove appliances and heavy items from upstairs. Stairs may require additional labor, and multiple flights of stairs may result in an additional labor charge. Let us know when requesting your quote so we can come prepared.

That is exactly what the equipment and the extra pair of hands are for. If a route genuinely will not work we will say so before we start rather than halfway through.

Timing, Changes, and Estimates

Send photos. Wide shots of the space plus close-ups of anything large or unusual answer more in thirty seconds than a phone description does in ten minutes. Estimates are free, and we will tell you honestly if it is not a fit.

It depends far more on how quickly decisions get made than on how much is there. A space that is already sorted can be loaded in well under an hour. One where every box needs opening takes as long as it takes, and we would rather you be sure than fast.

Then it stays. Nothing goes on the trailer that you have not cleared, and if something is already loaded and you change your mind, we will pull it back off. Check for documents, photographs, and anything of value before we haul — once material leaves the property it is not practical to recover individual items from it.

They stay. Mark them, put them in one room, or just tell the crew. Nothing goes on the trailer that has not been cleared, and we would rather ask twice than take something once.

Paint we can take for an upcharge, since the cans have to be filled with absorbent material before they can be disposed of. Other household hazardous waste — solvents, pesticides, motor oil, pool chemicals and similar — needs special handling, so tell us what you have when you request a quote and we will let you know what we can do.

Yes. We take tires, including tractor tires, and batteries. Car and marine batteries can be recycled, so we are glad to take them. Tell us up front if there are any in the load so we can plan the right disposal route.

That is usually the whole point of the job. Give us the date when you book and we will build the day around it rather than fitting you in wherever.

That is what most of these jobs are. Tell us the deadline when you call so we can be honest about whether it is achievable rather than finding out on the day.

Yes. Refrigerators and freezers are routine for us. If the unit is full of spoiled food there is a hazardous waste upcharge for removal. Say so when you book so the right disposal route is arranged before we arrive.

Construction and demolition debris is one of the things we haul, so send photos and we will tell you what is involved. Asbestos is the exception: abatement is specialist work that belongs with an abatement contractor rather than a hauling crew. If you are unsure about material in an older building, have it tested before anyone moves it.

Anything that can be recycled will be recycled. If you specify that you want to donate something to a charity we can do that as well, as long as it is within a reasonable distance. We do what we can to reuse items and keep them out of the landfill, but there are no guarantees that items will stay out of the trash.

Most of them. We can send a payment link by email that covers credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfer, Cash App and Venmo, or send a QR code instead if that is easier. We can also take tap-to-pay on the spot.

We do not keep fixed hours. Zach works around your schedule rather than the other way round, so tell us the window that suits you and we will fit it where we can.
